On 17 June 2018 IGB participates at the Berlin event Langen Tag der StadtNatur 2018. IGB-scientists show a broad variety of their work:
- Guided tours to the aquaria hall and the aquaponics system "Tomatofish" (every hour between 11:00 and 14:00)
- Lakes in the change of the seasons: What do we know about Lake Müggelsee? Short talk: 13:30 (Dr. Christof Engelhardt): "Lakes under ice"
- Build a river: Natural rivers wind their way through the landscape, what happens if they are straightend?
- "Urban Blue": We want more nature in the city and to take into account people´s wishes for recreation.
- Kids program: Giant fishing game
The event is rounded up by coffee, drinks and cakes from the bake sale of the Friedrichshagener Grundschule.
