Vernissage: Interdisciplinary exhibition with a supporting programme

About the artist

Kristina Popov is a Berlin-based visual and interdisciplinary artist currently pursuing a postgraduate Master’s degree in ‘Art in Context’ at the Berlin University of the Arts (UdK).

Her work explores nature as both a body and a habitat, operating at the intersection of art, science, ecology, and sustainability. Focusing on the relationship between humans and nature amidst the climate crisis, she seeks new perspectives and models for how we can coexist.

Her artistic practice encompasses photography, ceramics, sound, video, installations, and ecological entanglements.

Since 2023, she has been active as an initiator and project manager for public space projects and interventions, adopting an activist approach regarding the rights of nature. Popov recently completed an artistic research project on peatlands in Estonia, which is set to be presented in a solo exhibitions 2025/26 at the Botanical Garden of the Tartu University and, most recently, at the Tartu Natural History Museum.
